Casoola welcome bonus: should you take it?

The welcome bonus is tied to the first deposit – or the first few deposits – and is the largest bonus a new player sees. Here casinocasoola.biz breaks down what determines its real value and how to decide, with numbers, whether it pays off. Always take the actual percentage, cap and multiplier from Casoola's current offer; the values below are illustrative examples, not Casoola's terms.

How a welcome package is built

The most common form is a percentage of the deposit up to a ceiling – "100 percent up to X". Free spins are often added and credited over several days. In multi-step packages the second and third deposits carry lower percentages. Each part can have its own deadline, so a package over four deposits means four separate sets of terms to follow.

Working out the value

The calculation below uses a 100 percent bonus with 35x wagering on the bonus, on a 96 percent slot (illustrative example, not Casoola's terms).

DepositBonus (illustrative)Wagering on the bonus (35x)Expected cost at 96% RTP
€20€20€700about €28
€50€50€1,750about €70
€100€100€3,500about €140

With terms like these, the expected cost is higher than the bonus. The bonus amount is therefore not a gift but the price of a turnover obligation. With a lower multiplier – 20x, say – the cost drops below the bonus and the offer becomes favourable on average. If wagering applies to deposit plus bonus, the cost doubles. The method is explained in detail in the wagering guide.

When it pays, and when it does not

A welcome bonus suits a player who is planning a longer slot session anyway, does not want the money back within hours and sticks to the bet cap. It does not suit someone who plays live casino or table games, which usually count little or nothing, nor someone who would request a withdrawal right after a lucky win – in that case the bonus is lost and part of the win may go with it.

The right order of steps

  1. Read the terms – multiplier, base, bet cap, deadline and excluded deposit methods.
  2. Choose a deposit method that is not excluded; see the payments guide.
  3. Tick the bonus or enter the code before the deposit, if the terms require it.
  4. Set your stake below the cap before the first spin.
  5. Track progress in your account and do not raise the stake near the deadline.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to accept the welcome bonus?
At most casinos no: ticking the box or entering the code is your choice. Without it, your deposit carries no wagering requirement.
Does the welcome package cover several deposits?
It can. Packages are often spread over the first two to four deposits, each part with its own deadline and wagering. The current offer describes the exact structure.
What if I activated it and changed my mind?
Ask support or use the bonus menu to cancel before your first bet. If you have already played, the terms decide the consequences.
